I’ve recently changed my ssl certificates to fix some problems regarding subdomain handling. As firefox and other browsers complained:
You have attempted to establish a connection with “blogs.nopcode.org”. However the security certificate presented belongs to “nopcode.org” (…)
My SSL certificates are not self-signed, I use a CA known as CAcert instead. This is one of their a logos:

I’ve joined that CA six months ago and I’m really happy with it. I’ve learnt lots of issues about SSL, certificate generation, CA’s, security devices, trust policies, server configurations, code signing, etc…
If you want to know more about certificates, check cacert’s wiki, there’s a lot of interesting stuff there, including how to join CAcert’s WoT

As pool.ntp.org website states:
The pool.ntp.org project is a big virtual cluster of timeservers striving to provide reliable easy to use NTP service for millions of clients without putting a strain on the big popular timeservers
I’m using this service for ages, and one day I though that it was fair to contribute a really minimal amount of bandwidth to help improving the overall reliability of pool.ntp.org… well at least pool.europe.ntp.org
I’ve measured the instant and average bitrate in KB with mesure, these are the results:
# time ./mesure -i eth0 -K -p "udp and port 123"
49
real 0m59.546s
# time ./mesure -i eth0 -K -a -p "udp and port 123"
0
real 4m52.314s

Primers passos

So here it is: yet another personal geekish blog
You may be asking… why another one ? Well, I’ve some thoughts, projects, wishes… interests for short, which I’m really willing to share for too much time till now.
My main purposes on this blog are manifold: technical writings, thoughts, findings, reflections… and of course being interesting and fun altogether. Moreover, I hope you would enjoy it like I will ! Please, feel free to post comments !
In addition, I decided that posts will be indifferently written in English, Catalan or even Spanish because I don’t want to stuck on my way of expressing in just one language and because I enjoy using them all.
Last but not least I want to thank the people who helped/advised me and I learnt from while deciding to start my blog: pof, jmmv, pancake & 3des.
